Banogao Falls Adventure: The call of Nature
5:07 AMIt was truly a good semester break without engaging yourself in an adventure. After 4 pretty years of existence, I was able to climb a fckn mountain again (yes I have to mention that curse). This happened October 18, around 1pm (I guess?) I was in the church that time, there was a renewing(?) or Pagpalit ng Hermana Mayor — for the info of everyone hermana mayor is the anointed leader of all the leader of the different chapels in our baranggay, to make it more simple, it's like a coronation (but there's no crown or something king-and-queen(ish) thing happened, they've just give the power to manage the convent and it's 'everything') that was after the second mass, my highschool teacher and some common friends invited me to have a 'picnic' which is, in my mind I was like 'Oh my gosh at last, makakaligo na ulit ako sa dagat' but to end my daydreaming shortly, they said we are going to a falls (shocking yet interesting). I can't resist tho because this was the first time I'm going out with them. Like our friendship is not like a so-close relationship, we are somehow the neighborhood type — parang 'I-know-you-we-were-together-last-time-so-you-can-be-with-us type of friendship — and, this group of friends are composed of 2 girls, 1 boy and the rest are ladies. You know what I mean, just take a look in our group picture 😂😂😂
Here are some photos taken by Sir Erick (the one with eyeglasses), from the not-so-rocky route to the most-extrinsic-stressful path to Banogao Falls (second level part of this place)
Well actually, I'm holding a two bottle of Ginebra (lol) They (bottles) are more precious than my life here. *hahaha Anyway they're just joking, kapag mabasag ko daw ang gin, baka hindi na daw ako abutan ng araw pagdating namin sa falls. Kaloka! It's sooooooo hard to climb ha. I was not informed meron palang bundok na aakyatin.
Based on my observation, this is the first level of the place — the falls, well actually it is, as you can see the formation of the rocks are not so elevated medyo mababa pa lang siya at yung flow ng tubig ay mababa pa.
Buwis buhay acts.
Yes. I'm haggardo versoza that time. It took me so long to climb this mountain specially the route made by the mountaineers are very tricky and so life-to-death moment wherein you're going to hold the roots of the trees, grab them as hard as you can 'cause if you not, you'll just swim lang naman in the water from the higher part (of the mountain) down to the cold water of the 'mini' falls (from the first level).

View from the second level of Banogao Falls. Actually this is not the end yet (of the falls) according to them, when you reach the top of the falls, you will see a super duper tall rock formation which is yung grand part nung falls where the huge amount of water came from. Yun yung 'pinaka-falls' na kumbaga. But also, the path that you were goin through is not as easy (well not so hard for a first timer) as you've experienced from the lower level. I can describe it as a very challenging-super-buwis-buhay route (yeah expectations must come first lol) if ever you wish to go to the main falls.
So there it is! To sum it up, the adventure was soooooooo fun! Although I'm not a good swimmer (it's means hindi ako naligo) but I really enjoyed the moment with Mother Nature. It feels so good to meet the Earth again, I mean you know the nature itself, fresh air, warm water and and the singing birds washing away the stress made our stay more relaxing. Plus yung tawanan pa nitong mga kasama kong bakses, naku! Busog na busog ka. (hahaha) I enjoyed talking and laughing with them. Best experience so far! Not mentioning my wound that I've got when we were heading back to our vehicle, it's not worth to tell either, let's just highlight the moments here. (lol)
Till next time Banogao! 😄
